Summary
Progressive Company is seeking a multi-skilled, detailed-oriented Child Care Provider to ensure that the day care curriculum and day to day activities meets the needs of the children while adhering to the policies and procedures and licensing standards to ensure a high quality, educational day care program.The position offers on-going coaching, professional development and excellent fringe benefits.
Duties
1.Assists in planning activities that meet the social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of the children.
·Develop weekly lesson plans
·Documents information on children’s progress daily.
·Review lesson plans before children arrive to have materials and activities prepared.
·Assist in the preparation of the classroom schedule as needed.
·Performs daily tasks/activities daily to meet the children’s individualized needs.
2.Assist in the selection of materials and supplies, as needed.
3.Maintain a working knowledge of all of the Virginia Minimum Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers.
Requirements
Prefer individuals with education in early childhood, nursing, recreation or related field, and 1 (one) year experience working with preschoolers and some knowledge of data entry and/or Microsoft Office. Satisfactory criminal background check must maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.
