Woodlands Senior Living is a Maine-based, family-owned-and-operated organization that provides the people of Maine a trusted partner in senior care. Starting in Hallowell in 1980, the organization has since grown to include 15 communities in nine locations throughout the state, which care for more than 600 residents.

Woodlands Senior Living of Farmington opened in 2017 and expanded in 2018 to serve the growing need for exceptional senior care in Franklin County. Our 37-bed memory care community is the first and only purpose-built senior living community in Franklin County designed exclusively to address the unique needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other memory impairments. Our 58-bed assisted living community offers a gracious and comfortable setting with supportive services and lifestyle opportunities. Park Residences, our community of 22 private retirement apartments, gives senior the opportunity to live independently while having the option to take advantage of assisted living services if they choose.

We are looking for an Executive Director to lead our Farmington communities in our mission of making each day the best day possible for every resident we serve, while bringing peace of mind to those who love them.

The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the highest degree of operational excellence by managing these functional areas:

  • Resident Care – Plans, implements, and evaluates all facility services to maximize residents’ health potential and satisfaction.
  • Personnel & Staffing – Recruits and retains carefully selected and specially trained staff to meet residents’ needs.
  • Facilities & Safety – Collaborates with Director of Facilities to oversee building and grounds maintenance, emergency preparedness, and safety programs to ensure an attractive, clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Financial Operations & Regulatory Compliance – Ensures financial stability by maintaining occupancy at target levels. Oversees compliance with policies, regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Marketing and Public Relations – Establishes and maintains community relationships that enhance the image of the facility for potential residents and employment applicants.

Requirements

  • Licensed Residential Care/Nursing Home Administrator or equivalent licensing
  • Experience and proven success as a top level manager in a senior living, health care or social setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks effectively
