The Learning & Development Specialist will be a vital part of the Human Resources team. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources Consulting, the ideal candidate will be one who can engage a crowd and inspire staff to grow and flourish. As a creative, entertaining facilitator, you will be responsible for assisting with the identification of learning opportunities and presenting those learnings to team members across the state. Light travel will be required to sites when in-person training is a must. To learn more, we encourage you to submit your application.
Responsibilities
· Applies knowledge of adult learning principles to design and deliver engaging, high impact new hire orientation and training both in person and virtually
· Works collaboratively with leadership and subject matter experts to assess the training needs of both staff and leadership
· Develops teaching outlines and selects or develops teaching aids
· Monitors and tracks participants’ performance and progress throughout assigned courses
· Ensures that all employees are compliant with regulatory requirements for orientation and training

Requirements
· 3 years designing, developing and facilitating training curriculum
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training, Organizational Design or related field preferred.
· Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
· Must possess a current valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine.
