The Controller is a key member and business partner with the operations team. The Controller must have the ability to plan, organize and provide analysis in all phases of the accounting process to assure the facility has the tools needed to operate in an efficient, profitable manner. The Controller role includes developing and maintaining a close working relationship with production and support departments by providing analytical support and data in a timely manner and a driver for a continuous improvement process environment. |

Key Job Accountabilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other, as assigned): General Accounting: Ensure compliance with Woodgrain Millwork policies and procedures. Maintain integrity of the general ledger with regards to GAAP. Assist with establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting practices, processes, procedures, and initiatives. Perform all activities in the accounts payable function to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and check requests. Inventory reconciliation, parts creation, and building material and routing updates. Reporting: Responsible for monthly journal entries. Overhead analysis and reporting; including labor and overhead. Issue timely and complete financial statements. Participate in plant problem solving and CI teams as finance subject matter expert by providing manufacturing support and analysis in such areas as process performance, line efficiency, capital spending, inventory management, customer service objectives, production costing, and cost reduction Cost Accounting: Responsible for monthly financial close and reporting cycle, including manufacturing variances and other financial reporting requirements. Also responsible for inventory valuation, production reporting, various inventory reconciliation, and maintenance of standards. Responsible for account reconciliations. Planning & Forecasting: Working with Facility Managers, facilitates and prepares Facility Budget. Responsible for planning and forecasting updates to – Cost of Sales, production, inventory reconciliation, manufacturing variances, capital spending, and staffing. |
