Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently sourcing for a Maintenance Technician. The main function of a maintenance technician is to perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair.

Location: Kenedy, TX

Schedule: Mon-Fri; Full Time 40 hrs a week; Please note that for this position as it is full time and long term, it is essential that candidates reside within a 50-60-mile radius of site. Since this is a locally based schedule that permits returning home every night, there are no provisions for man-camps or housing per diem.

• Ensures the successful ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities.
• Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance work at production and support facilities.
• Ensures the daily work status is captured and next day’s schedule is reviewed and communicated with appropriate personnel.
• May communicate with service providers to ensure their availability to meet the schedule needs.
• Ensures work plans are completed in a safe and timely manner.

Skills / Qualifications

• Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
• Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support.
• General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department.
• Performs routine tasks.
• Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.
