Wood Plc is Hiring a Senior Recruiter Near Houston, TX

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is seeking a Senior Recruiter to join our team in the Houston,Texas area. You must be highly driven, self motivated that can work independently, an individual who is able to successfully recruit, screen talent and fill a variety of professional technical roles across multiple industry sectors. This role will be hybrid with the requirement for 1 day/week to be worked from the Wood office in Houston.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, screen and interview candidates presenting best talent to hiring managers in high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Manage a requisition load of 25-30 job openings at a time.
  • Utilize iCIMS, Linked-In, social media, job boards, and Boolean searches, and professional / networking groups in order to attract new talent in creative ways.
  • Network to recruit active and passive candidates for current positions and build talent pipelines for future career opportunities.
  • Extend job opportunities and see candidates through to the project on-boarding process
  • Continuous improvement and knowledge of current effective staffing and recruiting trends, understand how they align with the company's business priorities, and develop a business case to push new ideas forward
  • Identify work-flow process improvements, structure and systems to realign them with operational goals

Skills / Qualifications

  • Must be comfortable with process development as well as continuous improvement processes
  • Previous experience with high volume recruiting which is subject to change at short notice
  • Ability to source/recruit, screen, interview and hire top talent into our business
  • Ability to create, measure and sale the right work-flow between candidates and hiring managers and the recruiting team
  • Understanding of human resources best practices and procedures
  • Human Resources knowledge such as EEO, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interview best practices
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Prior experience with an on-line applicant tracking system or comparable database
  • 5 years of previous experience in recruiting- Prof Tech 
  • Must be based withing an easy proximity to a Wood Office/ Travel hub
