Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Manager/Assistant Manager manages, coordinates, provides leadership and directs the daily work requirements of the warehouse staff. Ensures departmental work is completed by estimating departmental needs, associate schedules and assigning work to meet the various demands of the business. Evaluates and recommends changes in processes and procedures. Conducts performance evaluations and reviews for the warehouse staff. Other duties include but are not limited to:

Job Description:

• Monitors and directs the daily activity of warehouse staff
• Communicate and provide data to other departments
• Conducts training on company SOP's
• Serves as a role model for the Company’s IMAGE in the department and throughout the company to ensure consistency
• Develop methods and procedures for the effective movement of inventory within the warehouse.
• Loading, unloading and wrapping furniture on delivery trucks.
• Forklift driving (Training and Certification Provided)
• Utilize hand held barcode scanners to maintain accurate inventory.
• Preform quality work checks to insure the warehouse is meeting quality standards.
• Transporting finished products and raw materials between the factory and distribution centers if needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Other duties assigned.

• High level of communication and organizational skills
• Must be self-motivated
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Must be forward thinking and proactive
