The WonderWorks Corporate team is looking for an Accounting Manager! The Accounting Manager will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This position reports directly to the Controller and provides backup support for Accounting Coordinators.

Responsibilities include:

• Review transaction coding and processing
• Continuously review Accounting Coordinator procedures to ensure efficiency, compliance
• Maintain accounting practices and consistencies across six properties
• Complete and review journal entries and month-end bank reconciliations
• Prepare information for the annual audit
• Process quarterly payments of management fees and investor distributions
• Help process accounts payables/receivables and 1099 forms
• Provide backup support for Accounting Coordinators
• Provide support in other areas as needed to maintain efficiency and accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 5 years of accounting and finance experience
• Expertise and experience with General Ledgers and QuickBooks,
• Professional background in hospitality and/or entertainment environments a plus
• Experience with Point of Sale Systems a plus
• Communication, attention to detail, critical thinking abilities, time management, and organizational skills
