Position Summary: Wonderschool is harnessing the power of technology to provide comprehensive support to child care providers operating out of their homes as well as in the government and non-profit sectors. Our products enable child care providers to create high-quality environments and meet the demands of their business, while also helping parents in need of childcare solutions through the creation of an accessible marketplace.

Wonderschool is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer who is passionate about contributing to our mission and purpose through automation, deployments, monitoring, and maintenance of infrastructure. You will manage production and staging environments, control access rights, plan upgrades, monitor alerts, and escalate issues to development teams as needed. As a successful Lead DevOps Engineer, you will own the technical roadmap for Wonderschool’s infrastructure, lead other devops engineers, and break down large projects for implementation by multiple team members.

Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with other engineering leads to define and prioritize the infrastructure roadmap and timelines
• Implement and maintain access controls
• Automate deployments and configuration management
• Create, monitor alerts, and take corrective actions
• Plan and perform upgrades of infrastructure components
• Lead a small team of devops engineers
• Implement Disaster Recovery process including regular test coverage and tooling
• Implement Information Security roadmap for process compliance and change management on production systems (ISO27001, SOC2)

Required Qualifications: 

• 5 years of devops engineering experience
• Experience managing production cloud infrastructure, including monitoring and alerts
• Experience managing infrastructure in AWS or GCP
• Experience with a cloud automation framework like Terraform
• Experience with a container platform like Docker
• Experience integrating with CI/CD tools like Github Actions, Cypress/Selenium, etc.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience maintaining infrastructure for SaaS products
• Experience with mobile app build and deployment
• Experience at high-growth startups
