About the role

This position will be responsible for the electrical design, validation, and implementation of our mobile kitchens and electrical devices that are used throughout our operation. The electrical design includes power distribution and storage, wire harness design and routing, and electromechanical assemblies for telematics, data acquisition, automated controls, and IoT connectivity.

• Responsible for the full electrical system and integration within the mobile kitchen.
• Develop electrical schematics, wire diagrams, wire harness drawings, operation & troubleshooting guides, and statements of work (SOWs).
• Create hardware test requirements, support testing, analyze results and manage engineering changes. 
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on in-service fleet, which may require traveling to different sites and standing all day in various environments.
• Manage the EE project phases for large and small projects from design to validation to serial production.
• Ensure all equipment meets or exceeds safety and compliance requirements
• Research and select electrical hardware (control boards, motors, actuators, sensors, etc) to meet program requirements.
• Mentor and provide technical direction for team members.
• Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships. 

The experience you have

• Electrical Engineering Degree, MS degree a plus. 
• 5 years of experience in executing new product development for electrical/electro-mechanical products.
• 5 years of experience in designing, testing and qualifying high voltage power systems with Li-Ion batteries and inverters, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to design, prototype, test, and manage changes for electrical hardware on the vehicle. 
• Experience selecting electrical components that meet program and industry requirements and vehicle interfaces.
• Experience defining and managing electrical schematics, wire diagrams, harness drawings, and operation & troubleshooting guides. 
• Expect to be on site at our NJ facilities on a daily basis.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience with electric vehicles is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of vehicle and safety regulations (NHSTA, FMVSS) is preferred.

Base Salary Range: $130k - $185k
