Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will drive project planning and implementation of manufacturing solutions to support existing and new product manufacturing.

• Drive project planning and implementation of manufacturing solutions to support new product development projects
• Work daily with a fully functional tool & die shop
• Provide technical and project leadership to deliver cost effective and robust production processes and systems
• Develop new manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
• Perform root cause analysis to develop and implement solutions
• Recommend tooling and machining improvements to improve cycle times and reduce scrap.
• Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize production of non-conforming parts, anticipate problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving tool room operations
• Coordinates activities with Plant Operations Department

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering 
• Minimum 4 years related experience
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to learn, navigate and use all proprietary company and equipment software desired
• 3 years working in a manufacturing production environment
