WISE STAFFING GROUP is Hiring a PRODUCTION PLANNER Near Russellville, AL
Location: Russellville, AL
Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacturing environment. Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated understanding of MRP principles
- Experience with MRP planning system (Business Central Dynamics 365) or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and determine work flow/sequence of operations and capacity limitations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills that include the ability to consider downstream/upstream impacts
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and act with a sense of urgency
- Microsoft Office Suite experience is required.
- Create work orders required to produce material sequentially through the manufacturing operation
- Manage requests from sales and manufacturing related to work orders and expediting for the planning/scheduling department
- Coordinate and execute Scheduling activities for the respective area
- Assure that operations have necessary materials to meet required manufacturing/production levels
- Communication on regular basis to support sales and internal customers on product availability
- Work as a team to creates solutions on material availability and scheduling challenges resulting from unplanned problems: part shortages, sales increases beyond forecast and fluctuations in product yields
