Summary of the Job:

Wisdom is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who will support our Marketing department to build awareness for Wisdom Gaming and its portfolio of brands (Wisdom Gaming Studios, Torrent, Minnesota Varsity League, and Wisdom Labs). We’re looking for an experienced and versatile marketing manager who has experience developing and executing marketing campaigns, while supporting individual brand needs. They will be comfortable with day-to-day marketing activities as well as long-term strategy, cool under pressure and can easily adapt to changes. 

Objectives of This Role:

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Manage and support email, performance marketing, and web teams to design, test and evolve lead-nurturing

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Effectively champions the company’s vision, mission, culture, and overall business objectives
  • Supports a high-performance team culture that values continuous improvements, learning and a commitment to quality
  • Launch and manage user acquisition campaigns through advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads, Apple Search Ads, and Google Ads
  • Utilize 3rd party ad-tech platforms and solutions to generate detailed spend and performance reports using relevant KPI metrics such as CPI, ROAS, Retention, Conversion, and ARPU.
  • Work with creative team, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
  • Conceptualize and execute on multichannel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
  • Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, establish budget guidelines, participate in events, document business processes, and provide sales support (as needed)
  • Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
  • Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

What You Can Bring Along:

  • 7 years of experience in managing marketing campaigns and a strong business acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
  • Passion and/or interest in the gaming industry and esports industry and scene
  • Knowledge of gaming/esports (Some games we work in: Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, League of Legends, Fight Game Community, Rocket League, etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Experience with marketing automation and 
  • Proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability or willingness to learn new technologies and implement new techniques
  • Must be a collaborator with the ability to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Ability to learn and understand multiple brands and follow the unique community identities for each
  • Competent in Asana, Slack/Discord, and various Google applications such as Calendar, Sheets/Docs

Wisdom Gaming was founded in 2019 by a group of gamers and esports fans. We’ve built beloved communities and produced memorable esports tournaments for games we’ve spent countless hours grinding and enjoying.

Since then, Wisdom Gaming has added even more industry veterans, former pros and gamers to our team. And we’re still doing what we love most: producing events and content that make people fall in love with gaming, either for the first time or all over again.

Wisdom Gaming produces a mix of in-house and white label esports broadcasts and events across a variety of game titles and communities. So far, we've put on tournaments in Heroes of the Storm, Legends of Runeterra, Rocket League, Teamfight Tactics, Wild Rift, Valorant and more -- with aspirations of going much further.
