JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor and Warehouse Lead Person, the Forklift Operator operates a double-wide pallet handling forklift truck and loads or unloads trucks to perform the shipping or receiving functions of finished goods or raw materials, maintains prescribed stock rotation requirements, and sorts empty pallets.
JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires education as normally acquired in high school or equivalent with coursework in Basic English and shop mathematics. Requires ability to complete Forklift Operator’s training course and successfully pass test to obtain a Forklift Operator’s License.
Previous experience with a forklift truck is helpful, but not necessary.
Requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Requires ability to communicate with management and other employees. Must possess legible handwriting skills. Must be able to work under a minimum of supervision.
