We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a key position on our Finance team as a Revenue Manager. This position will start remotely but eventually will be based in our main Corporate Office in American Canyon, CA. We are considering local candidates only.

This individual will manage the entire revenue cycle across our core Ecommerce, Fulfillment and Marketplace business lines. Job scope will include monitoring, auditing, managing, and optimizing our revenue cycle.

You will be the primary revenue professional on our finance team, so we are looking for a strong professional who operates collaboratively as a sole contributor and possesses an analytical mindset and forensic accounting skills that will help bring our company to the next level. This will be a key add to our Finance team, as it encompasses analysis of pricing and revenue flow, provides insights to our revenue operations, and ultimately helps us ensure the optimization of our pricing strategies. This position will report directly to WDI’s CFO and will work actively with the company’s executive and leadership teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue
  • Work with the Controller and CFO to establish an effective coding and tracking method for our sales revenue
  • Provide data to the Executive team to facilitate further business development
  • Ensure accurate customer contract setup so that sales orders are processed per revenue recognition requirements
  • Research revenue reporting guidelines
  • Assist in proposing and implementing revenue accounting policies and drafting process narratives
  • Research and evaluate new technical accounting standards and prepare revenue policy memos
  • Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing our pricing strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, maintain high accuracy, meet tight deadlines, solve problems quickly and proactively
  • Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a constantly changing environment with changing requirements while keeping a good track of progress
  • Work ethic that exudes integrity, accountability, and professionalism
  • Data analysis experience - able to dissect business issues, analyze large amounts of data, and draw actionable conclusions
  • Additional duties as assigned

Who you are:

  • BS in Accounting or related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including public and private companies
  • Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Month-end close and sales tax experience is required
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools
  • Recent ERP system implementation or migration experience; NetSuite is a plus
  • Oral communication with efficiency and conciseness, analytical and written skills required
  • Attention to detail, well-organized and thorough
  • Willingness to learn and be a strong team player
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills – must have advanced Excel skills
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills with an enthusiasm for acquiring systems knowledge
  • Ability to identify areas for improvements on existing processes through change is a strong plus
  • Ability to research technical accounting issues and provide your perspective
