Description

Job Title: Instrument Technician

Department: Surgery Center, Back Office

Status: Non-exempt, PT

Pay: $15-$16 Hourly

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (Part-Time)

Location: Windy Hill, GA

Position Purpose

An Instrument Technician's main purpose is to maintain, test, inspect, and calibrate medical equipment to ensure it is good working order .

Responsibilities and Duties Clinical

• Clean and sterilize various surgical instruments for multiple surgery cases

• Install equipment when needed

• Test equipment to ensure it's in good working order

• Troubleshoot equipment

• Inspect equipment before surgeries 

• Proficient with paper work

Qualifications

• Dependable and hard working

• Prior experience as an Instrument Tech

• Knowledge of medical instruments

Special Position Requirement

• Possible requirement to travel to various surgery centers.

Preferences

• At least one (2) years of experience preferred

• Experience in surgery center is preferred

Work Requirements

• Good physical condition to occasionally sit, frequently walk, bend, stoop and squat; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull maximum over 50 lbs. with assistance.

• Must be able to see, hear, speak, and use both hands to easily communicate.

• Employee duties will frequently require computer usage including the ability to type as well as verbally communicate with patients and co-workers.

• Assist patients in and out of the patient chair with support with other staff members.

• Reliable transportation
