Responsibilities:

• Data entry, bank feed clearing, bank/credit card reconciliations, and payroll entries in QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
• Prepare 1099 forms.
• Evaluate payroll tax notices prepare appropriate response letters.
• Make adjusting journal entries and tie out of trial balance prior to issuance of financial statements or preparation of income tax returns.
• Maintain a working knowledge of multiple payroll, accounting, and fixed asset programs, including: Fixed Assets CS, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, ADP, Microsoft Office, and Practice CS.
• Establish working relationships with client personnel involved with tax and accounting tasks.
• Must be comfortable with various accounting tasks including, QuickBooks Online adjustments, month-end tie out, data entry, and accounting review. 
• Experience with preparation of payroll, payroll tax returns and year-end payroll forms is preferred.
• Develop and maintain sound working relationships with administrative personnel, peers and supervisor to foster teamwork.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• Accounting experience/public accounting: 1-3 years (Preferred)
• CPA (Preferred)
• Possess a strong understanding of basic small business concepts and common small business entity structures
