Position: Business Development Center (Call Center) Representative
Reports To: Operations Director
POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Center (BDC) Call Center Representative will support the sales and service departments by receiving customer phone calls. They will often be the first point of contact for customers calling to schedule service appointments for their vehicle and/or inquiring about vehicles the company has available for sale. Some outbound calls might be necessary to respond to a customer’s inquiry. Professional, accurate, and speedy responses are expected.
Realize that during any customer interaction, the employee should remember the HERO (Helpful, Exceeds expectations, Represents us well, takes Ownership) program. Also, the customer is the highest priority of any employee of Wilson County Motors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Answer customer calls and establishes follow-up with service and sales appointments.
The rep will not make outside cold sales calls but may make outbound calls to follow up with a customer’s inquiry.
Schedule service appointments as requested by the customer.
Respond quickly to Internet, phone, and live chat inquiries using email, scripts, and other templates.
Provide customers inquiring about vehicle purchases with initial product information and direct them to the appropriate dealership resources.
Follow up with leads that are not ready to make an appointment or have yet to arrive for their scheduled appointment.
Participate in team and process development sessions – keeping positive relationships with teammates, service teams, and dealership management.
Utilize the CRM tracking system daily.
REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES
High school diploma, GED, or combination work/education equivalent.
Skilled with using a computer for work (Computer Literate).
Prior customer service experience, either face-to-face or by phone.
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations. (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to communicate using email, text, chat, and phone.

JOB EXPECTATIONS and REQUIRMENTS:
Arrive at your place of work on time as scheduled.
Hourly employees must clock in and out using the Company’s time recording system.
Perform work safely following company safety guidelines.
Treat all customers and team members professionally and with courtesy.
If needed, follow up with customers to ensure their questions have been answered.
Return any voicemails, emails, and texts the same day as received.
Meet the department’s service level expectations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may sit for up to 100% of the shift and use a computer to perform the job. It may require lifting, pushing, or pulling weights of more than 10 lbs. Duties will be performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
