Description
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for inventory receipts, material movement and maintenance of inventory and their records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Inventory Clerk will have several Roles and Responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions
- Maintain and update inventory records including item replenishment and storage
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies
- Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary
- Prepare a list of depleted products and a survey of unusable products
- Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods
- Assuring no damaged items are sent or received
- Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list
- Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory
- Packaging products for return to vendors and filling out any paperwork necessary
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity incoming deliveries
- Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
- Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory
- Handling returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products
- Picking out ordered items from storage shelves in warehouse
- Operating sit down and stand up handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
- Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
- Performing general warehouse duties as necessary
- Must perform all work in accordance with all applicable safety procedures
- Regular attendance is essential
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- General Education Degree (GED) (preferred)
- 3-5 years experience in warehousing (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment for long hours
- Ability to operate a forklift
