Williams Consulting, LLC (WCLLC) is seeking a candidate to join our growing Project Management Office (PMO) team as a Project Manager who can work onsite in Baltimore, MD.

Description

WCLLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide program management governance and services across the organization to include financial management, quality management, project management, project planning and risk and issue management. The candidate must have the ability to document and develop solution recommendations for ongoing program implementation issues, perform daily tracking and coordination of open issues and decisions and effectively communicate both orally and in writing with colleagues and clients.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables.
  • Lead a Project Management Office (PMO) for WCLLC and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Custodian of organization-wide project management standards, templates, tools, and processes.
  • Draft new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
  • Continuous evaluation of projects to ensure they are meeting WCLLC’s Project Management Methodology and Service Delivery Excellence framework, adhering to budgets, and meeting deliverable deadlines.
  • Coordinate project implementations and closures.
  • Leads CMMI activities required for compliance including the creation and maintenance of required CMMI documentation.
  • Report on PMO project and issues and concerns to senior members of management, as required.
  • Create and maintain project plans, including risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a PMO.
  • Proven track record in project planning, execution and closing.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflows.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to include appropriate stakeholder audience definition and messaging.
  • Experience managing projects with strong attention to detail, organization, and efficient time management.

Requirements and Experience

  • A./B.S. from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 8 years of overall project management experience, including planning, organizing, staffing, reporting, coordinating, and directing all aspects of a project.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and advanced experience with Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Project) skills.
  • Experience working with the Federal Government agencies or contracts required.
  • PMP certified.
  • Background investigation required.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • HUBZone candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Time management skills; prioritizes time and projects appropriately.

Working Conditions and Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. Standing, sitting, squatting, and other normal office-related physical activities are required. Must be able to sit and read computer screens for extended periods.
