Description:

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all the functions related to the financial operations of a hospital. Directs and coordinates general accounting, patient business services, data processing, admission, medical records, purchasing, facilities and statistical reporting.

The CFO gathers and analyzes all the financial data and information to make sure the hospital is operating within budget and to determine how to allocate funds to various areas. They create detailed reports of their findings and must explain to department heads and hospital board of directors why these financial decisions are being made.

 The CFO is a member of the senior leadership team of the hospital and acts as auditor for the District.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Chief Financial Officer in a healthcare setting, preferably in a critical access hospital. Healthcare Management with budget emphasis.
• At least five years experience overseeing the Business Office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met and net revenue is properly stated.
