Role: Process Engineer 

Location: 1 Engineer in Las Vegas - 1 Engineer in Baltimore

Reports to: Director of Maintenance

About this role

The Process Engineer based in both Las Vegas and Baltimore oversees the improvement of processes in the manufacturing plant. Evaluates existing processes and identifies opportunities for quality or efficiency improvement, as well as cost-savings measures. Responsibilities are broad in scope but include all process, mechanical, and electrical engineering aspects of beverage production and packaging systems. 

A day in the life: What you do

  • Analyze workflows within and across all plant departments defining activities, connections and flows by direct observation of work
  • Conduct tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems 
  • Spearhead process optimization along with the maintenance of existing programs
  • Design workspace layouts, estimate space requirements, and line layouts, as required 
  • Audit utilities and maintain information relating to their proper performance. (Gas, Steam, Glycol, Air, CO2, Water)
  • Work with Maintenance and Operations to develop local manufacturing processes in support of company objectives 
  • Utilize an analytical process to support Capital and Expense spend decisions within the plant 
  • Visit other WildPack locations to benchmark best practices 
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Provide technical support to technicians and management 
  • Develop and provide training to Managers, Supervisors and Operators on new processes and maintain proper documentation 
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging hardware and software technologies and manufacturing processes 
  • Serve as key contributor to ensuring overall plant safety, being an active advocate for team member safety
  • Oversee the purchase and installation of new equipment
  • Support the repair and maintenance of existing equipment with technical support and documentation
  • Help find and vet new equipment purchases
  • Maintain relationships with OEMs to ensure upkeep and proper use of existing equipment and systems
  • Interact and manage trades during installation and commissioning of projects
  • Follow up with and hold accountable, OEMs after project commissioning to close out punch list issues to achieve design efficiency as quickly as possible

Qualifications: What you know

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering. Other disciplines may be considered
  • Six Sigma certifications a plus
  • Experience in beverage manufacturing or similar environment
  • Experience managing people/projects/trades
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Teams, and Project Management software
  • Ability to travel to all WildPack production facilities when needed
