JOB SUMMARY: The commissary assistant is responsible for assisting with receiving, accounting for and delivering of food and other products and shipping and receiving. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as needed. Receives incoming products and materials – primarily perishable and non-perishable food products.Requires inspection of incoming products/packages to confirm and reconcile paperwork with order.Notifies and/or delivers products to all food/merchandise outlets.Assists in loading products to correct area (i.e., freezer, etc.) in a timely manner, so products don’t spoil.Cleans and organizes inventory areas, as needed.Assists with monthly inventory, as needed.Ability to communicate well and interact with “customers” at all levels.Requires ability to safely use Company vehicles to deliver items, as needed.This position requires regular and predictable attendance.All other duties as assigned by management. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, instructions and manuals. Proficiency in English language is required in order to effectively communicate with guests/associates and outside vendors. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Willingness to perform any required task within associate’s capabilities in order to effectively meet the needs of the company. Ability to get along well with others. Commitment to providing quality service. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Maintains a valid Drivers’ license at all times during employment and is insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
