POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We seek a Revenue Accountant to prepare and maintain financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Candidates should be familiar with performing complex clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments. This position will report to the Controller.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintains certain accounts in the general ledger (NetSuite)

· Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books

· Supports revenue accounting operations for the complete order-to-cash cycle

· Coordinates with customers regarding tax exemption opportunities

· Confirms accuracy of sales tax data within ERP and tax software and reconciliation of sales and use tax accounts on the general ledger

· Responsible for daily invoicing of customers

· Point person for accounts receivable collections

· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform an annual audit

· Reconciliation of customer's accounts, including communicating and managing deposits

· Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures

· Work with the Controller to create and enhance best practices

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

 SKILLS/ABILITIES

· General knowledge of financial accounting and cost accounting

· Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles

· Proficiency using ERP software, NetSuite experience preferred

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications
