Wild Earth is Hiring a Remote Digital Marketing Specialist

Wild Earth is the largest U.S. plant-based, cruelty-free dog food company focused on giving dogs the highest quality complete nutrition they deserve, with zero compromises. We are looking for a skilled Digital Marketing Specialist to join our fully remote Wild Earth team. This role will be an active contributor in planning and executing customer engagement and retention programs that will drive increased customer satisfaction with and loyalty to Wild Earth. The key measures of success are increased new subscription customers, increased LTV, increased AOV and increased monthly recurring revenue. The Digital Marketing Specialist will work with and report to the Director, Conversion & Retention to develop and execute a marketing strategy built to acquire, convert, and retain customers.

This position requires a blend of digital marketing, conversion rate optimization and content creation skills with hands-on experience and a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on aggressive growth goals. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working closely with cross-functional teams, strong written communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate progress/blockers/solutions to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the marketing strategy that ensures customer success at all points during the customer journey aiming to increase customer loyalty, LTV, drive engagement, reduce churn, and grow revenue.
  • Actively participate in planning and development of communication calendar and project management from ideation through execution and reporting.
  • Guide email/sms campaign strategy to ensure increased customer engagement, customer lifetime value, and retention.
  • Manage/execute all email/sms marketing campaigns, aligning content based on metrics of success and report on results.
  • Develop segmented and automated customer journey communications plans based on customer engagement, behavior, and product use to ensure that we are delivering the right message and/or offer at the right time to encourage additional product use, loyalty and interventions before churn.
  • Understand and leverage email and text to website engagement best practices to develop appealing campaigns that deliver enhanced loyalty and cohesive messaging on promotions.
  • Provide clear direction to in-house consulting-based creative teams to deliver excellent output.
  • Plan well-structured tests and ensure past learning is leveraged to continuously optimize campaign and automated flow performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other Growth Marketing team members, Creative & Design, Customer Success and Development to help achieve goals of increased conversion, retention, learning and engagement.
  • Work closely with our in house creative, development, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on strategy and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years work related experience in marketing roles with specific emphasis on email marketing, social media, campaign management and customer engagement strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated hands-on leader that is marketing, tech-savvy, and data-driven that will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including PowerPoint and advanced level Excel skills.
  • Working knowledge of CMS, Marketing Automation, and Email Platforms (Klaviyo & Wordpress a plus).
  • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to analyze campaign performance data and see gaps or trends that may impact anticipated results or identify that a change is needed.
  • Experience with web analytics and reporting platforms (Google Analytics)
  • Proven attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking and evaluation skills.
  • Strong communication skills. Must be able to facilitate working meetings, ask questions and apply active listening skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and eagerness to work as a member of the team while providing leadership through creativity, tenacity, flexibility, dependability
  • Hungry to learn, measure and improve rapidly
  • Intermediate proficiency with HTML and CSS required
  • Ability to work under-pressure in a fast changing environment
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams
