Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Manager . The Maintenance Manager will lead and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the maintenance of complex metal manufacturing equipment, including casting, rolling, annealing, and slitting. Champion a reliability culture leveraging our safe, skilled, and engaged workforce. Utilize data driven systems, supported by technology and continuous improvement methods, to work as a strategic and tactical partner within Wieland Rolled Products North America.

This role is located in East Alton, IL and will be 100% on-site.

Maintenance Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead the maintenance team efforts to identify and eliminate safety risks through the engagement of employees.
• Foster an improvement culture in the maintenance team to drive improved ownership and performance of plant equipment.
• Set standards and expectations for daily improvements to processes and performance.
• Coach and mentor team to build and maintain the right habits to sustain success.
• Develop and implement a skills matrix with human resources that will drive a training and succession plan.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve operating efficiencies through utilization of lean methodologies.

Maintenance Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7-10 years managerial experience
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance practices using reliability tools such as Pareto analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
• Ability to communicate and make decisions, adapt to cultural change, and work within a diverse environment. Requires skills to manage conflict, coach, and mentor.
• Experience as a "strategic" leader as well as a "tactical" leader. Proven ability to develop and manage large budgets.
• CMRP certification a plus.
• CMMS experience required. SAP experience a plus.
• Experience in a union environment implementing change initiatives considered a plus.
