What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Supervisor position at WHITSONS CULINARY GROUP?
SUMMARY:
Manages the operation and maintenance of the organization's motor vehicles. Oversees DOT, DMV and other regulatory compliance and reporting as it relates to the fleet and drivers. Manages drivers and establishes policies and procedures to promote a culture of high performance and a team atmosphere where safety of our drivers is the first priority while fulfilling our client’s needs above and beyond expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Manages all CDL and non-CDL drivers and driver records ensuring compliance with all FMSCA and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure routes are optimized to best utilize Whitsons assets and reduce overtime.
- Develops and implements vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintains all driver records electronically and current
- Work with Recruiting to source and hire strong candidates for open driver positions
- Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements.
- Conducts fleet evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met and vehicles are kept in the best condition.
- Complies with and ensures adherence to Whitsons standards and all federal and local regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Monitors driver performance and implements training and improvement plans to accommodate issues with performance and reward drivers that go above and beyond expectations.
- Responsible for reporting and follow up on all vehicle accidents with Director of Fleet while implementing methods to reduce fleet accidents or damage.
- Manages EZ pass administration
- Responsible for Vehicle maintenance and schedule of maintenance on individual site fleet.
- Identify, source out and deliver training in coordination with Director of Talent Development
- Develop run and analyze operational reports
- Ensures regular inspections on all vehicles are performed by drivers and verified weekly by management.
- Coach team members on policies and procedures to create an environment of safety first while fulfilling all orders 100% for our clients.
- Process orders in X3, and utilize TMS efficiently when implemented.
