Responsibilities
The Early Learning Center at the Whitley County YMCA is seeking a part-time Preschool Assistant Teacher Substitute who is reliable and compassionate to join our team.

• Care: Supervise assigned groups of children and engage in positive staff-child interaction.
• Develop: Promote a healthy, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical environment of each child.
• Nurture: Success in this position is defined as growth in student participation and quality enrichment, sound adherence to defined safety and educational standards by the staff, and positive feedback from parents.

Requirements
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in an early learning center or preschool is preferred.
• Reliable transportation to attend work.
• Able to fulfill all demands in spirit, mind, and body as an assistant preschool teacher.
• Positive, service-oriented attitude with diverse groups of people in regard to age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.

Salary: Part-time $13.50-14.00 hourly
Hours Available: Monday-Friday, open availability
