DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Job Function • - Uses MIG welder to produce component parts or trailer frames • - Uses “go/no go” gauges, and other simple measuring devices to ensure conformance to quality standards • - Determines requirements by reading Production prints and dimensional schematics • - Maximizes raw materials by reworking non-conforming parts and eliminating rejects Supplemental Job Functions: • - May do own material handling (i.e., moving parts into or out of his/her work area) • - Loads welding wire into wire feeder • - Adjusts welder to proper settings for steel being welded SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES • - Responsible for the safety of others in the work area • - Must wear hearing protection and eye protection at all times • - Must wear welding leathers and welders gloves • - Must wear respirator (PAPR or particulate mask) when welding outside welding booth • - Must be trained in MSDS sheets specific to the department(s) in which he/she works • - Must receive all required annual training, as listed in Safety Program JOB QUALIFICATIONS - Welding skill, good enough to weld parts or frames - Ability to read Production prints and dimensional schematics - Ability to use basic math, “go/no go” gauges, and tape measure - Ability to pass pulmonary function test, and qualitative fit test if wearing a particulate mask Full Time Benefits Summary: Enjoy discounts on retail merchandise, our restaurants, world-class resorts and conservation attractions!
