Whitman Consulting Organization, Inc. (WHITCO) is a Construction Management and Inspection Company providing experienced, qualified and professional services to the Oil, Gas, and Utility Industries. We are currently looking for Construction Inspectors to support our Utility customers throughout Colorado.

Position Summary

  • Our Construction Inspectors represent our customers as a field representative that supports contractors as they install utilities within CDOT ROW’s. We provide GIS mapping services with real time data collection and survey grade accuracy to collect geospatial data on utilities as they are being installed.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to; daily field observations, GIS Mapping, site inspections, and safety & compliance per OSHA standards.

Experience:

  • 2 ( ) years of previous Construction experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections/observation to assess daily activities and contractor participation (ie. manpower, equipment and materials)
  • Understand and interpret construction documents (Construction plans, traffic control plans (TCP), permits, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate proficiently with customers, managers and contractors.
  • Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner with client, public and regulatory agency interactions, serving as the primary point of contact on site.
  • Report any deficiencies to your direct manager so they can communicate with the contractor(s) in a timely manner
  • Actively promote and support health and safety at project sites
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position

Qualifications & Skills

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime when necessary
