Overview:

Responsibilities:
The Production Manager is responsible for directing the Lead Maintenance Technicians and Technicians in their daily duties. The Production Manager shall maintain a general working knowledge of all projects currently in work in the maintenance facility and anticipate potential problems that may impact the schedule.
  • Track all labor performed by maintenance technicians and report the maintenance technician utilization.
  • Review shop orders and work orders for accuracy by analyzing discrepancies, confirming labor hours being billed, checking for required parts and ensuring that we are billing in accordance with all related contracts.
  • Liaison with HR for MRO personnel to provide onsite support as appropriate for HR process.
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and approve invoices for payment.
  • Ensure third party work has been applied to shop orders and work orders.
  • Must have strong understanding of all maintenance contracts and maintenance programs.
  • Review in-process work orders and shop orders to determine expected financial exposure.
  • Work with customer representative and appropriate Client Aviation Manager to obtain approval on completed work, when applicable.
  • Oversight of all follow-up questions from customers and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
  • Compile information to report the weekly MRO efficiencies.
  • Oversee Maintenance administrator and assign work functions.
  • Act as an RII Inspector when necessary.
  • Maintain a general knowledge of the work in progress, to include percent to completion.
  • Anticipate potential problems that will impact delivery schedule and report to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Assist Lead Technicians and Technicians in obtaining answers to technical questions.
  • Provide Director of Maintenance with daily status updates.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager to ensure correct parts are ordered when necessary.
  • Report problems involving safety, regulatory compliance, or company policies to the DOM.
  • Experience with Corridor preferred.
  • Understanding of the working relationship between Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Operations and Finance departments.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Site Manager or higher authority.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant Certificate; meet the recent experience requirements of FAR §65.83 and be trained as required by FAA regulations and the appropriate Repair Station Manual.
  • Associates degree in Aviation, Business or related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 3 years related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience in 145 or 135 Aircraft Maintenance environment preferred.

The wage range for this position is $115,000/yr. - $125,000/yr. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled.
At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. Wheels Up also offers a full range of healthcare (medical, dental, vision, mental health), a generous 401k plan, financial, and other benefits, including pet, life and disability insurance and paid time off. On January 1 of each year, employees with be provided with 40 hours of PTO that can be used during the calendar year. In addition, employees will accrue additional PTO (2 Hours Per Week)
up to a max of 136 hours.
