Wheels Up is Hiring a Maintenance Planner Near Atlanta, GA

Overview

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be primarily responsible to participate in and oversee the effective planning of scheduled maintenance events on the WUP fleet. You will help plan scheduled maintenance events weekly and build work authorizations, maintenance blocks in our flight planning system and communicate the information to service providers via email. You will be responsible for ensuring that all the SMX planning spreadsheets are updated and in order. You will request status updates from the service providers and manage the information as required. You will work closely and communicate effectively with all team members, with the goal to collectively and successfully plan and complete each scheduled maintenance event.

  • Assist in planning Scheduled Maintenance events weekly and help manage the SMX planning files
  • Prepare Work Authorizations for upcoming Scheduled Mx events and update as needed
  • Create, manage and update Airops blocks for upcoming Scheduled Mx events
  • Upload Work Authorizations and initial paperwork to Box.com and update as needed
  • Send Work Authorizations to Service Providers and advise them of aircraft ETAs for Scheduled Mx events and update then of any schedule changes
  • Order all required parts for Scheduled Maintenance events in a timely and cost-effective fashion
  • Answer and address phone calls as required
  • Assist Controllers as required (during the RTS of an aircraft, this should be priority)
  • Monitor the SMX Control mailbox for any new emails and address accordingly
  • Monitor emails and Box.com for incoming paperwork and build R1 packages as required
  • Send R1 paperwork to Service Providers, listing details of deletions or additions to the work scope
  • Monitor Box.com for any new paperwork and work with Controller to address accordingly
  • Participle in weekly Scheduled Maintenance calls
  • Send update requests to Service Providers twice daily and update Airops block accordingly
  • Review and manage the Open W/A report weekly (on Thursdays). Correct minor findings as required. Report issues to a lead or supervisor
  • Manage filing of completed Scheduled Mx folders
  • Fill in for other SMx team members during absences, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 years of aviation experience as a mechanic or in a planning role required
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred
  • CAMP experience preferred
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
