SUMMARY: The accounts receivables clerk is responsible for processing all office and black book deposits. All rent payments must also be processed. Clerk must work with bulk plants to complete deposits and financial statements for customers. This role is also responsible for reviewing and solving collections. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, although other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work with some bulk plants to complete deposits and financial statements Review and resolve collection issues with customers Collaborate daily with all other internal departments, especially accounting Process all office and black book deposits Complete wires by entering and applying them to the correct accounts Process all rent payments monthly Maintain and clean up accounts SCOPE OF POSITION: The accounts receivable clerk is responsible for ensuring all financials received are applied correctly, and all accounts are current. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: 2 years of experience or training in accounting or related field Skills: Must have adequate communication, writing, multitasking, and organization skills. Must be detail-oriented to ensure all mistakes are caught. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be resourceful and use commonsense when problem solving. Must have customer service training and skills. Abilities: Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Ability to make various mathematical calculations and understand the impact of various pricing options to the overall profitability of the company. Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Licenses/ Permits: None required WORKING CONDITIONS: Office environment. Long periods of sitting and using the computer may be required. Moderate noise level. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Physical demands may include lifting file boxes up to 20 pounds. Mental demands may include long hours of severe concentration. Working on a computer all day may be strenuous on the eyes. Reasonable accommodations may be given to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
