Summary As an Account Manager for World Fuel Services, you will primarily be responsible to originate and maintain revenue with our clients. These clients hire us expecting expert energy expertise to analyze third party contract options which include analysis surrounding price, contract language, risk, length of term, and budget ramifications. Persons in this position work independently and are expected to perform at an expert level regarding technical knowledge, negotiating skills and communications. You will be mentored by your direct supervisor to support your growth. You will also be called upon to occasionally present our services to prospective clients, or members of Affinity Partners who promote World Fuel’s procurement expertise to their membership base. The relationship that an Account Manager has with their client is akin to the relationship that a client has with a lawyer. The lawyer is considered a trusted advisor providing expert advice. The Account Manager will advise clients on their options for managing energy costs, risks, and budget through the sourcing of third-party supply for commodity (gas and power). Key Responsibilities Provides expert advice to their clients in choosing a third-party supply contract Renew clients with third party supply contracts with 1 years remaining on current supply contract Build revenue from other WFS product lines: (i.e., sustainability solutions and cross advising on both power and natural gas) Enhance the business relationship with our clients Work with broader team members to provide support in areas of price risk management, tariff analysis, budgeting and supporting services Requirements, Competencies and Certifications Strong problem-solving skills, mathematical and organizational skills. Motivated and able to work with limited supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to delivering superior customer service. Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines. Team player who excels at performing in a collaborative environment, upbeat and positive.
