We are looking for a talented Sr. IT Business Analyst who is highly motivated and team oriented who will deliver and support analytics software applications using product management disciplines. You will be part of a passionate, fast-moving organization of IT professionals who partner with Weyerhaeuser's Portfolio Analytics, Portfolio Management, Natural Resource and Natural Climate Solutions, Land Development and Recreation businesses to create sustainable competitive advantage.
In this high impact role, you will work with business stakeholders and technical product managers as a Business Analyst to maximize the business value of the products we support. You will work on a mix of applications including highly customized low code platforms e.g., Microsoft Dynamics and Power Apps, custom .NET, full stack and cloud native technology.
Primary responsibilities:
- Perform business analysis supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of IT software solutions.
- Design innovative processes and systems that meet business needs including improved productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- In partnership with business stakeholders, create and manage software product backlogs with standard processes for evaluating return on investment, functional fit and feasibility.
- Document functional requirements for items in the backlog including detailed acceptance criteria; create UI/UX wireframes and work with developers on mockups, pilots, etc.
- Participate in the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to product launch.
- Work with business stakeholders and the Product Manager to understand, rank, and prioritize business needs to ensure each product release delivers maximum business value.
- Participate in agile/scrum sprint ceremonies including planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Plan, create, document, and conduct system quality assurance testing and implementation activities, ensuring business requirements and functional specifications are implemented effectively and meet business objectives.
- Create user guides and deliver end user training.
- Coordinate and provide operational support for software products.
- Ensure that established quality expectations are met and incorporate functional and non-functional quality measures into requirements.
- Optimize usability and performance within cost constraints.
- Perform root cause analysis of system issues.
- Provide guidance to other IT Business Analysts.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis or related field. Typically requires a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive, relevant information technology experience. Experience with or demonstrable knowledge of agile product management. Understanding of IT risks and controls. Ability to manage a diverse workload and with minimal supervision. Commitment to expand knowledge and skills, is coachable, and a fast learner with natural curiosity and a hunger for self-improvement. A team player who excels at building relationships and enjoys working both collaboratively and as an individual contributor. Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation of technical topics with non-technical audiences. A passionate and creative problem solver who loves to find innovative approaches to solve business problems. Location - Atlanta, GA or Seattle, WA. This position is eligible for remote work arrangements.
- Occasional travel required (approximately 1-2 times per year).
Technical Qualifications - Experience configuring Microsoft Power Platform, including Dynamics 365 model-driven applications, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Fluency with product development operations software e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira
- Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and practices.
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $92,500 - $138,700 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees may enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
