The Strategy Manager role is a member of WEX’s Global Risk and Compliance (GR&C) leadership team reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer (CRCO). The successful candidate who assumes this new role will support the following core areas for all Global Risk and Compliance operations and functions: Enterprise Risk Management and Governance, Risk Operations, Risk Decision Analytics and Capabilities, and Compliance, both Americas and International, ensuring cross-functional alignment within the Risk and Compliance complex as well as across WEX’s lines of business, focused on GR&C’s goal of increasing operational efficiency while minimizing risk. This position requires a highly organized strategic thinker who can execute on a variety of projects across multiple disciplines within GR&C and bring a team player approach to a corporate culture engaged in transformative growth initiatives. Major Roles and Responsibilities Observe and influence how strategic decisions are made, preparing presentations to communicate GR&C’s strategy and vision to the broader organization and WEX’s Executive Leadership Team Prioritize, monitor, and implement processes that support the goals of the GR&C organization, ensuring activities and initiatives directly connect/contribute to overall team strategy and WEX’s broader transformation goals Develop content - gathering input from GR&C leadership team - and track CRCO deliverables to organization (Town Halls, off-sites), Executive Leadership Team, and Board Committees Responsible for shaping the agenda and preparing materials for CRCO’s leadership team meetings, tracking follow ups and progress against discussed goals Conduct ad hoc research and gather internal and external data analytics to inform executive decision-making Support development of and measurement against KPIs that demonstrate the GR&C’s accountability for delivering sustainable financial returns to WEX Lead and ensure the risk and compliance teams are working with maximum efficiency internally and with critical partners (Finance, Financial Entities, WEX Bank) through strong collaboration and execution skills Actively seek formal and informal feedback to assess and work to resolve issues that present barriers to the CRCO and the leadership team from operating at maximum effectiveness, prioritizing what needs to be reviewed by CRCO Create, maintain, and develop cross-departmental relationships to improve communication, influence outcomes, and foster long-term partnerships critical to organizational success Flexibility in moving within the GR&C organization, rotating to different groups to assist with project development and implementation as well as to learn more about the technical elements of the multidisciplinary practices of GR&C Job Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience in Business Strategy, Program Management, Financial Services and/or Strategy Consultant (experience or education can be substituted) Experience with technology, analytics and/or finance management Proven experience maintaining and evolving a productive company culture Skills and Abilities: Ability to take complex concepts and translate into clear communications (presentations) for a variety of audiences Demonstrated critical thinking in order to analyze problems and develop creative, practical and efficient solutions The role requires a steep ramp to understanding the Global Risk & Compliance complex and an ability to remain flexible in the midst of many moving pieces Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear and concise communications for employees at all levels Reputation for, and absolute commitment to, integrity and professionalism Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time Adaptable and comfortable working collaboratively and independently Strong skill set in PowerPoint and G Suite Other Requirements: ● Must complete a successful background investigation The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
