Westside Early Childhood Centers is Hiring an Assistant Teacher Near Modale, IA

Candidate requirements: (Required)

  • Support Staff - minimum 16 years old, of good moral character
  • Assistant Teacher - minimum 19 years old, of good moral character, High School diploma or GED

Westside Early Childhood Centers & Club 66 provides early childhood education programs to learners ages eighteen months to three years old & before and after school programs for learners ages Kindergarten through sixth grade.

About the role

Assistant Teachers support the Teacher in planning and implementing educational and recreational activities for children enrolled in the Early Childhood programs (ages 18 months-3 years old).

Responsibilities:

  • Safety and supervision of program participants
  • Provide support and guidance to program participants
  • Plan and implement the program’s educational curriculum and recreational experiences
  • Adhere to NE DHHS licensing standards, WECC policies and procedures and NAEYC Code of Ethical conduct
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, co-workers & supervisor(s)
  • Responsibilities may be modified according to the needs of the center and additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Site Director
