Essential Functions ofthe Role
·The primary purpose ofyour job position is to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facilitynursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census,and as may be directed by facility administration.
·Complete monthlynursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units.Coordinate variances with the DNS.
·Assist in completionof designated reports in accordance with established policies and procedures.
·Answer employee callsregarding staffing/scheduling functions. Prepare written correspondence asnecessary.
·Answer applicant callsregarding position availability and coordinate interviews as deemedappropriate.
·Ensure newly hirednursing staff has timecards and schedules prior to orientation date.
·Assist in obtainingnursing care staff information needed for daily posting requirements.
·Consult with nursingdepartment staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs: toassist in elimination/correction of problem areas, and/or improvement ofservices.
·Develop and maintain agood working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as otherdepartments within the facility.
·Ensure administrativefunctions are carried out promptly for an efficient operation.
Committee Functions
·Attend variouscommittee meetings of the facility, staffing, recruitment and retention, etc.as required.
·Assist in interviewingCNAs when requested.
·Create and maintain anatmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as acalm environment throughout the facility.
·Attend in-servicetraining programs as scheduled.
Working Conditions
Education
Must possess, as aminimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Associates Degree preferredbut not required.
Experience
Experience Preferred, however,on the job training provided.
Must be familiar andcomfortable with technology platforms related to scheduling.
Qualifications:
Prefer LPN or CNA withscheduling experience
