Summary The electronics technician's responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electronics, reading manuals and installing new equipment, performing routine servicing and inspections, electrical testing and electronic upgrades, assisting with training, and working as a member of our production and operations team. Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills are essential for this position. The technician will also be required to occasionally conduct system installations as well as analyze blueprints/schematics and user manuals in order to learn new concepts and apply problem-solving skills to new systems. Main Duties & Responsibilities Test and implement electrical systems and products based on specifications Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs Monitor maintenance and inspection plans for tools used in respective work area Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance Performs safety checks to ensure design plans are feasible in various conditions. Reports potentially dangerous electrical equipment to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue. Instructs employees regarding safe working procedures and requirements when working with electronic equipment and components. Develops and maintains records related to electronic and electrical equipment. Good understanding of Microsoft Office programs and how to use them. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience & Qualifications: Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field required; electrical apprenticeships will be considered.
