Western Healthcare Alliance (WHA) began in 1989 when a small group of rural Colorado hospitals decided that there was power in numbers. Today, WHA has 31 healthcare members in Colorado and Utah. Of these 31 members, 21 own Healthcare Management, a separate entity, that provides revenue cycle solutions to healthcare entities. Developing and managing a menu of member-owned and partner programs, WHA saves members money that helps them remain sustainable and viable in their communities.
Summary
The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technical assistance to staff members of Western Healthcare Alliance (WHA) and Healthcare Management (HCM) and the customers they serve. The role of the Junior Systems Administrator is to be the customers’ initial contact to diagnose, analyze, and resolve software, hardware, network, and telecommunications issues for all stages and types of technical incidences that might be encountered, primarily in regard to the systems application to which he or she is assigned. This position will serve as the IT Department’s liaison to other WHA and HCM departments regarding issues of the system applications that this position oversees and coordinates acceptable resolutions and special projects with departmental management in regard to that application. Furthermore, this position will provide the first level of service for the IT Department but should be prepared to present adequate documentation and communication regarding issues requiring escalation to other members of the IT Department. The position will also maintain appropriate documentation and educational materials. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
The Junior Systems Administrator will also collaborate and share responsibility in planning, implementing, overseeing, and maintaining the servers (on-premises, remote and in the cloud) plus help oversee network infrastructure and related projects. Will share responsibility to assure all systems are kept up-to-date, secure, backed up, and in optimal working order. Will also assist in providing second level support for Help Desk services and customer support.
