We are growing! Westerkamp Group, LLC is an expanding company specializing in Revenue Cycle Management services in the health care industry. We are currently seeking a Denials Analyst in our Birmingham, AL office to provide patient and third-party hospital denials follow-up and professional follow-up for our clients.

Job Summary:

The denials analyst works as a member of our client team and is responsible for monitoring denials, appeals, and resolutions from participating insurance carriers. This position also is responsible for greeting clients, answering and redirecting phone calls, accept mail and packages, and distributing them to their appropriate departments, and track and order supplies. 

Qualifications:

• Must have full understanding insurance follow up processes (Billing, Collections, Credit Balances, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial practices)
• Ability to review account balances and denials and perform steps to overturn the denials.
• Ability to adhere to strict compliance guidelines related to HIPAA.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities 
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to work with guarantors and various third-party insurance departments.
• Basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes. 
• The ability to work independently and accomplish goals working on a wide variety of special projects within the business office.
