In our ongoing pursuit of excellence, we are excited to introduce a new daytime offering in partnership with Onyx Coffee, a renowned name in the specialty coffee industry. This collaboration will bring a unique coffee experience to our patrons, further enhancing their time with us.

About the Role:

As a Barista at WEST10WEST, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of our exciting new coffee program in collaboration with Onyx Coffee. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about people, about learning, and about contributing to the positivity that coffee and service can spread. This program will be available daily from opening until 4pm, providing guests with an exceptional coffee experience that aligns seamlessly with our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

Coffee Program Development (Lead Barista)

• Collaborate closely with our partners at Onyx Coffee to curate a menu of exceptional coffee offerings.
• Lead the training of staff to ensure precise and consistent preparation of coffee beverages.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the coffee program, optimizing efficiency and quality.

Beverage Preparation and Service:

• Craft and serve a variety of high-quality coffee beverages with precision and care.
• Ensure that all coffee offerings meet our established standards for taste, presentation, and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, including regular equipment maintenance.

Customer Experience:

• Engage with guests to provide information about our coffee offerings, enhancing their overall experience.
• Uphold the warm and welcoming atmosphere that WEST10WEST is known for, ensuring every guest feels valued.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the coffee program and food offerings.
• Communicate effectively with team members at all levels, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Barista, with a deep understanding of coffee preparation techniques and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and the specialty coffee industry.
• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a coffee program is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Formal barista training and relevant certifications are highly valued.
