The Opportunity: 

West Liberty University is seeking applications for Athletics Maintenance Worker I.  This position performs a variety of skilled tasks related to the general maintenance and day-to-day operations of the athletic department and programs. The Athletics Maintenance Worker I performs tasks such as cleaning light fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and making adjustments to switches and electrical controls. The Athletics Maintenance Worker I checks equipment or vehicles for proper fluid levels and performs repair work to drywall, plaster, ceilings, windows, doors, and door hardware as necessary. The Athletics Maintenance Worker I works flexible scheduling as assigned by the Director of Athletic Operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare athletic venues for upcoming athletic events
• Prepare athletic venues for special events (Fairs, Commencement, etc.)
• Perform day to day maintenance tasks related to the successful execution of a safe and welcoming environment for student-athlete, coaches, faculty, and staff. 
• Collects feedback on athletic related equipment and provides feedback to the Director of Athletic Operations
• Fulfills worker orders related to athletic facilities (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, grounds)
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletic Operations

Skills/Abilities: 

• Excellent time management skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in fulfilled maintenance related work orders.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment while balancing multiple venue related projects.

Education/Experience:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years experience in a maintenance related field is preferred.
