Accountability and Scope
The Warehouse Lead is accountable for leading the day-to-day processes and successfully trouble shooting warehouse issues within their respective scope of management. Warehouse Leads are expected to accomplish their daily tasks in addition to managing high priority and complex customer issues through strong team coordination and follow-through. General hands-on duties may include one or more of the following tasks: receiving in product, stock put away, inventory management (cycle-count and rack confirmations), picking, packing, pulling, documenting and shipping customized orders, accurately and expeditiously; and in accordance with AS and ISO standards, as required. Areas of specialty or responsibility may include Electronic Products Group component parts warehousing, Facility departments or Government Kits, within a variety of warehouse environments.
Warehouse Leads (within specific locations), may be responsible for running daily productivity reports, delegating assignments; and leading and assisting in locating appropriate product with a radio frequency system or an inventory data- base program. The Warehouse Lead will ensure the required quantities and sizes are pulled, counted, weighed and packaged; and the accurate documents are included for shipment. This fast-paced position consistently requires a high volume of productivity; with strong attention to detail to variances in product identification; ability to accurately under- stand and follow written specifications; perform data entry; and follow customized requirements with trained knowledge of quality standards and customer specifications.
The Warehouse Lead may also be responsible to drive company vehicles to transport material to and from specified locations, as licensed; as well as assist warehouse management in training, leading, and mentoring less experienced levels of personnel.

Processes
Ability to drive company vehicles safely; drive forklift/order pickers efficiently, operate radio frequency product locators, product scales, packaging, labeling and shipping equipment and systems with competency.
Ability to perform basic math functions and proficient use of a calculator.
Ability to trouble shoot and solve basic to complex problems following established policies and procedures; more difficult problems or challenges should be escalated to a senior member of the team or supervisor for additional direction.
Ability to apply common sense understanding, work instructions and senior level knowledge to find the best and reasonable solutions to work through problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
Ability to utilize and train others on the internal systems and resources as a critical aspect of accessing necessary information and communicating; systems include Wesco U.S. Intra-net system, warehouse database system, shipping systems, e-mail, and the use of printers, copiers, and in-house telephone systems, as applicable
Essential Values
Education, Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Recent, forklift certification training and current forklift license, is preferred
Valid driver's license and sustained acceptable driving record, may be required.
Required 3-5 years warehousing experience in an aerospace environment or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability to analyze situations, trouble shoot, and resolve warehouse issues successfully.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate less-experienced warehouse personnel.
Demonstrated ability to teach and train less experienced employees by utilizing multiple methods of training and resources (such as on the job training, reading materials, testing, etc.) to ensure compliance with Wesco Work Instructions, specific customer requirements, and safety requirements.
Proven ability to be alert and aware of safety issues and safeguards, and apply safety standards.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Clear and accurate data entry and documentation skills.
Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with both internal and external customers.
Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth research to investigate discrepancies as assigned.
Ability to be cross trained in multiple critical areas of the warehouse.
Strong competency working with integrated data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook Intermediate competency with Word and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with professional daily interaction with internal and/or external customers.
Ability to work well within a team environment and independently, as needed Ability to train and share knowledge of the integrated database systems, including Outlook, Word and Excel, as needed
