What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA - Document Inspector I position at Wesco Aircraft?
Accountability and Scope
The Q.A. Document Inspector I is accountable for producing a clean scan of all documentation submitted by various departments and to validate and release the scanned information into the database system. The QA Document Inspector I will receive documentation to scan, de-assemble, review the documents for the ability to produce a clean scan, scan into Wesco scanning system, validate, release the scanned information into the company database, then reassemble the documentation, file and prepare for file storage, in accordance with the Wesco Scanning Administration Work Instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review the documentation received from various departments by removing staples, separating, checking for torn pages (and re-copying if necessary) to produce a clean scan
- Create a new batch in the Wesco scanning system in accordance with the document type
- Scan the documents pages into the Wesco scanning system and changes settings, as necessary, for best results
- Validate the documents by reviewing and verifying the key field information online to the actual physical document type
- Release the batch into the company database system for recordkeeping and common viewing
- Re-assemble the physical documents for department al pick-up or for filing in the appropriate filing system
- Package (or bundle) the filed documents into storage boxes, label for accurate storage designation and set aside for daily warehouse pick up
- May perform research for additional information in the Wesco Client Application database for necessary attachments to the original documents for scanning
- Attend regularly scheduled or impromptu ,departmental or company-sponsored meetings or training, as required

Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Education
High School Diploma or GED
- Experience Related administrative work, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Qualifications
Ability to be detailed oriented and perform basic research, if required
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely and well with others
Ability to be trained in the essential duties of the job, with accuracy
Must be computer literate and maintain ability to learn and gain knowledge of the integrated database systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel, as needed
