The Supply Planner role is to support WernerCo’s flow of finished goods from manufacturing to inventory stocking position. The Planner position will be the subject matter expert (SME) for all inventory flow and stocking related strategies. The Planner will be the main point-of-contact (POC) for “get well” reporting and work to implement creative and effective reporting to accomplish visibility in Business Intelligence platforms. They will be responsible to ensure finished good inventory is distributed appropriately throughout the network to achieve DC fill rate metrics.
Effective communication and teamwork skills are important for this position as the successful candidate will interact with various personnel in multiple departments. They also need to be able to present their conclusions effectively, so relationship building, and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong analytical skills will be required to ensure accuracy in processing relevant data and strong mathematical/Excel skills are needed to perform calculations. High attention to detail is needed in order to ensure that all factors relevant to a product's demand level are considered.
