WernerCo is Hiring a Supply Planner Near West Middlesex, PA

The Supply Planner role is to support WernerCo’s flow of finished goods from manufacturing to inventory stocking position. The Planner position will be the subject matter expert (SME) for all inventory flow and stocking related strategies. The Planner will be the main point-of-contact (POC) for “get well” reporting and work to implement creative and effective reporting to accomplish visibility in Business Intelligence platforms. They will be responsible to ensure finished good inventory is distributed appropriately throughout the network to achieve DC fill rate metrics.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are important for this position as the successful candidate will interact with various personnel in multiple departments. They also need to be able to present their conclusions effectively, so relationship building, and interpersonal skills are essential. Strong analytical skills will be required to ensure accuracy in processing relevant data and strong mathematical/Excel skills are needed to perform calculations. High attention to detail is needed in order to ensure that all factors relevant to a product's demand level are considered.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

  • Provide comprehensive supply planning for products manufactured in WernerCo NA facilities to US Distribution Centers
  • Understand the flow of inventory as it relates to promotions, product launches, POG updates, and storm orders
  • Partner with Juarez supply planning to expedite/ delay production based on DC needs
  • Prepare reports and presentation material to support SI&OP meetings
  • Understand the flow of the supply chain as it relates to the support of the RDC/BDC requirements
  • Provide weekly summary of inventory gap and “get-well” estimates for assigned category, communicate adjustments and project future changes
  • Work closely with internal partners in order to resolve any customer-related matters such as lead time and/or fill rate issues
  • Monitor, support, and teach DRP functions globally (review of manufactured/purchased item messages in JDE, use of TM1, etc.).

Experience & Education:

  • BS/BA Degree
  • Background or Education in Supply chain/ planning or other business-related fields
  • Advanced skills on all Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expected travel up to 10%
  • Experience with Planning Analytics and JDE forecasting functions desired
  • Ability to pull data from multiple data sources, including BI/COGNOS. JDE
  • Ability to analyze, manipulate, and gain insight from that data.
