Our North American Commercial Operations, as well as our Headquarters and Technology Center for Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics, are based in Bedford, MA. Our Headquarters and Technology Center for Autoimmunity Diagnostics is based in San Diego, CA. Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.

Position Summary:

Acts as the lead financial planning & analysis contact for the Acute Care Diagnostics business unit. Contributes financial support to the sales & marketing teams and represents the financial team to the assigned departments as required.

Key Accountabilities:

• Serve as the primary analytical resource and business partner for a variety of financial analyses.
• Contribute to the annual budget process, alongside other team members and stakeholders across the organization.
• Participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year financial forecasts, typically working with the broader organization to understand and test key forecast assumptions and run alternate scenarios.
• Prepare and evolve, as appropriate, templates and presentations for weekly, monthly, and annual reporting and forecasting.
• Investigate and analyze variances between actual and plan monthly for assigned functional areas.
• Act as a resource to the non-financial leaders of the business by teaching financial acumen and business information concepts to ensure that financial based decision-making occurs throughout the business.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure revenue is properly recorded.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with revenue teams across the organization to support forecasting and the evaluation of strategic business decisions.
• Work closely with business, finance, and IT teams to automate data preparation and reporting, from conceptualization to implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve management reporting within financial business plan and support implementation.

Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; completion of a graduate program in accounting or finance preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional environment in an accounting or financial reporting position
• Strong working knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of accounting and financial reporting
