Position Summary

EH&S Manager is to provide leadership for the Corporations Environmental Health and Safety Management System. This person will develop, implement & ensure compliance to all Federal, State, & Local EH&S regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and all Wellmade Policies and Procedures at all Wellmade Corporation Locations. The EH&S manager will utilize problem solving & best practice sharing, resulting in improved EH&S key performance indicators (KPls) and report performance to executive management.

Organization Alignment

The EH&S Manager will direct report to the VP of Manufacturing/Operation and have no supervision responsibility until further notice.

Requirements

Knowledge, Experience, and Competencies

• Competent/Comfortable with use of information technology

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent form a four-year college or technical school.

• Strong proven leadership and management skills

• Creative and innovative problem solving skills

• Five (5) years’ experience with safety and environmental regulations

• TQM and Lean process improvement methods

• Competent knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process. Experience with Offset Printing and Thermoforming preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills and strong organization and self-starter skills

It is therefore a requirement that the individual filling this position has an aptitude to learn new skills, to think for him/herself, and be able to work in an environment where fixed routines may not be established.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• This position is largely self-directed and requires understanding of company policy, procedures, and values.

• Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.
