Welch Equipment is Hiring a Local Delivery Driver Near Commerce, CO
JOB OVERVIEW
The Allied/Systems, Millwright Services, and Mountain Power departments require transportation of equipment (scissors lifts, forklifts, mechanical installation tools, customer order materials, etc.) and materials to project sites for installations and from project sites at the end of installations. Also required is an overview/validation of customer order materials as they are loaded for shipment(s).
Tasks /Responsibilities/Experience
- Load/Unload Forklifts and Scissors Lifts from either small single axle flatbed truck or from ground level trailer. Experience in tie down equipment, loading and unloading is preferred.
- Load/Unload storage racking customer orders from either small single axle flatbed truck or from ground level trailer. Experience in tie down storage equipment, loading and unloading is preferred.
- Verify customer order, count materials and confirm correct parts are being delivered or staged for pick up. This will include storage racking components and Structural Anchor materials.
- Warehouse forklift work, storing and retrieving pallets, pulling orders, stacking materials, banding materials for shipment.
- Shop work including shop clean up, transporting scrap materials to recycle center, sift, sort and stack functions.
Qualifications
- Must be insurable by company Insurance Standards and maintain valid driver’s license. No special license class required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have good customer and co-worker communication skills
- General working computer knowledge including Smart Phone communication skills and photo capture
- Additional duties may arise depending on work flow requirements
Reporting & Compensation
- This position is a shared department position with the Allied/Systems Department and the Millwright Services Department. You would be a report to either/or Department Managers depending on daily requirements. Activity will be directed primarily through the Allied/Systems Stock Sales Coordinator and the Millwright Services dispatcher
