Description
The Medical Assistant [Certified / Registered] is responsible for providing technical/clinical/clerical support to provider and/or physician. The Medical Assistant provides patient care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care in the medical office setting. The Medical Assistant meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, LPN and/or Physician. The Medical Assistant maintains regulatory requirements along with nursing and office policies, procedures, and standards. The Medical Assistant ensures timely task completion while adhering to detail and correctness and communicates with physicians and team members about the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements

Additional requirements for the right person:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Registered and/or Certified Medical Assistant through a nationally recognized program.
Completion of venipuncture class.
Current BLS.
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit(s), area(s) of assignment.
Excellent communication skills including oral and written comprehension and expression.
Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit(s), area(s) of assignment.
Bilingual Preferred.
